Job Description:

Working within the Network Control Team and the wider Integrated Control Centre as Crew Controller, you will report into the Senior Crewing Officer whilst on shift. The Crewing department are responsible for managing all aspects of crew rosters from the day of operation to 3 days out using the AIMS crew system and a range of decision support tools. Your role is to ensure all crew rosters are first and foremost safe, legal, and compliant with local industrial agreements. You will also be responsible, but not limited to the following:

  • Always maintain safe and compliant rosters, in line with legal requirements, Crew contracts, and company policies
  • Keeping up to date with the latest rule sets, protocols, and systems updates
  • Takes responsibility for a strong safety culture reporting incidents
  • Keep the ICC teams informed of crew disruption that could impact the programme.
  • Liaising with the rostering and training delivery teams to ensure roster disruption is captured and training re-planned.
  • Escalating disruptive or safety events to the Senior Crewing Officer, Network Duty Manager, and wider business.
  • Re-crewing uncovered flight duties from four days prior to the day of operation in line with regulatory requirements, union agreements and easyJet business rules
  • Applying judgement and experience when making necessary roster changes, including Operational robustness, cost, and Crew lifestyle considerations (such as FRM, Roster Stability, Crew Preferences, fair work distribution and minimal positioning)
  • Providing cross-functional support for other Operational and Planning teams during times of need

Required skillset:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Airline Operations in Crewing, Operations or Cabin Crew role
  • Ability to provide effective solutions in response to last minute crew changes taking into account employee wellbeing
  • Ability to make informed decisions to resolve business issues in ambiguous situations/under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple demands, shifting priorities, short deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong consultative and influencing skills
  • Strong customer focus and a demonstrable keenness to deliver the very best customer service

Location and hours of work:

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be an average of fourteen shifts per 28 days, the shifts will be 12 hours shifts, comprised of day shifts and night shifts.
